Recent Highlights

Craigville Coffeehouse Open Mic
Our community Coffee House continues to blossom with attendees of all ages and various genres of music and spoken word  This collaboration between myself and the Centerville Library fills a nice niche in our community, with artists traveling from many miles to share their creativity at the mic on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

Wellfleet Preservation Hall Martin Luther King Jr. March
It was my honor to be invited to perform my song “Resist” at this annual celebration marking the birth of our country’s treasured civil rights leader, where local folk braved the snow and cold temperatures for a Silent March.

Linden Tree Coffee House Winter Potpourri: American Idol Folk
In January, I had the honor to perform along side seven Northeast Regional Folk Alliance artists at this annual songwriter/performer competition. The full house audience cast their votes and I am pleased to share that I placed 2nd, behind my much deserving and extremely talented friend Quentin Callewaert The 2nd place finalist is traditionally rewarded an opening set for a touring headlining artist in the 2018 season, but much to my surprise (and endless gratitude!), Linden Tree Coffee House decided to elevate my opening slot to co-bill status with the legendary Mr. Bill Staines! Tickets for the December 8th show go on sale in November at www.lindentreecoffeehouse.org

The Mews Coffee House
I had so much fun performing at this treasured venue in historic Provincetown hosted by artist Peter O’Donnelly.  The day started with an in-studio interview and performance at WOMR’s The Old Songs’ Home radio show in Provincetown, MA hosted by my good friend and mentor, Bob Weiser. I played to a packed room and enjoyed an amazing dinner! The evening ended with an overnight stay at the breathtakingly gorgeous Land’s End Inn - one of my absolute favorite spots on Cape Cod where I twice stayed while attending David Roth’s Cape Cod Songwriting Retreat!

March Againt Gun Violence
On Saturday March 24th, the newly established Cape Cod Student Board - led by students at Sturgis Charter School in Hyannis - organized a march in Hyannis inspired by the brave teen survivors of Parkland Florida, who founded the movement to speak up and create a nationwide demonstration and to demand that action be taken on the federal level to combat gun violence. The demonstration took place on March 24th in every city across the United States. I was so humbled to be invited by the Sturgis students to perform my song “Right To Bear Arms”, which I wrote in rememberance of the lives lost during the Sandy Hook Elementary school massacre.

“Above Ground” CD Release Concert (#1)
A truly unforgettable night thanks to Heather Swanson (fiddle), Steve Gregory (lead guitar), Billy Kwaak (percussion) my producer Jon Evans (bass), Caroline Brodt (cbrodtphotography), Jay Sheehan (Garrett Audio) and all who attended the packed house at Liberty Hall! I was overjoyed to share my debut cd release show with such a talented band along with my family and friends. It was a treat to bring music back to Liberty Hall in Marstons Mill, MA - a venue that was once a routine stop on the folk musician’s tour circuit.

“Above Ground CD Release Concert (#2) will be held on 5/18 at the historic 1717 Meetinghouse, West Parish Church in Barnstable, MA.  This intimate show will feature Steve Gregory on guitar and we will be performing the songs ‘unplugged’ style with a few new tunes added to the set list.
Free and open to public!

Reminder: “Above Ground” is available for purchase on the “Music” tab of my website www.kimmobergmusic.com and through a number of online distribution channels including cdbaby, iTunes, Amazon and Spotify.

The Spire Center for Performing Arts - Domenic Botolino CD Release
I was SO happy to be invited to open for my friend Dom Botolino’s cd release show at the gorgeous and iconic Spire Center for the Performing Arts in Plymouth, MA (the same stage where I was a finalist the the Spire Open Mic Challenge in 2017) where I was joined by Heather Swanson.  Dom invited me to record back up harmonies on a couple of tunes on his "Shelter" cd, which he recorded with Jon Evans at Brick Hill Studio. I had the immense pleasure of performing those songs with Dom and his all star band at The Spire.

Rose Garden Coffee House
I am super excited to share that I am one 3 finalists in this year’s Rose Garden Coffee House Performing Songwriter Competition, along side very talented artists Dave Falk and D.B. Rielly!  The three of us will perform our entries for the judges in an opening set before featured artist Ellis Paul on May 19th! www.rosegardenfolk.com

Club Passim Memorial Day campfire.festival
As a life long live music fan, Club Passim (formerly Club 47) has been the mecca of folk music for me and to be invited to perform on the Club Passim stage is truly an honor and a dream come true!  The magic of campfire. festival weekends comes from the event’s delicate mixture of talented performers coming together and inspiring one other and an excited, attentive audience. www.clubpassim.org

Vinegrass
This is my 2nd year serving as a board member for this non-profit organization founded by artist Monica Rizzio which provides scholarships for music students.  Our work in fundraising and awareness continues through ‘feeder’ concerts with the next show scheduled for 5/31 where Mark Erelli will perform at O’Shea’s Olde Inne in Dennis, MA. Our main fundraising event, “Vinegrass Festival”, will be held on 9/30 at Truro Vineyard on Cape Cod. Visit www.vinegrass.org to learn more and to make a donation.

Sandwich Arts Alliance
As a member of Sandwich Arts Alliance, I will be performing at numerous SAA events including:  First Night, SandwichFest, Third Thursdays and Wine and Poetry.  I will also be organizing and performing at the 3rd Annual Porch Fest to held in October - an event that has quickly become a popular “must attend” for both on and off Cape music music lovers! A big thank you to Sandwich Arts Alliance for all work they do in support of local artists! www.sandwichartsalliance.org

Spreading My Wings

This year, my performing radius has - and will continue to - broaden.  My calendar includes a number of new venues in the region, so please check back to the "Shows" tab often, as I am adding dates weekly.

I have had the honor of sharing the stage with new music friends both in collaboration and co-bills. Many of my recent and upcoming shows feature my friend, the talented fiddler (and multi instrumentalist) Heather Swanson! Heather and I met at the first Sandwich Arts Alliance Porch Fest where we became fast friends! Heather also performs in the duo Cape Violin Cello Duo with her daughter, cellist Krista Lucich. www.capeviolincelloduo.com

In addition, I have had and will continue to have the pleasure of sharing the stage, the road and upcoming projects with my longtime "partner in all things fun", singer/songwriter Kathleen Healy. www.kathleenhealy.com

I’d love to hear from YOU regarding booking opportunites!
House concerts, which were extremely popular long ago, are one of the easiest,
most inexpensive and initmate ways to experience live music and
I am ecstatic to see them regain popularity in recent years.
It’s “wicked easy” to host a house concert, so if you are interested,
please contact me and we’ll set one up together!

Immense gratitude to all the supporters of live music for inviting me to play! Thanks to you,
I have the opportunity to have my music heard while making new friends along the way.
A special "shout out" to our local libraries who work hard to obtain grants to offer
educational Music Series that promote and support live music!
I have had the recent pleasure to perform at Music Series
hosted at the  Eastham, Wellfleet, Cotuit Libraries.
Please support YOUR local library!

And know that when a you hire me, you are not only supporting live music,
but you are making a contribution to my personal (albeit unofficial)
‘kickstarter’ campaign, helping me to earn funds for my next cd!
And always … an extra special thanks to the radio hosts
who sprinkle my songs across the airwaves!

Please check out and consider donating to the following organizations
to assist them in accomplishing their worthy missions:
ACLU, Planned Parenthood, MusiciansOnCall, Cape Abilities,
Cape Cod Veterans, Independence House,

I look forward to seeing you out there and sharing a song!
